Bayland Dance Arts（原名 Bayland Dancing）是一家以社区为核心的舞蹈艺术团体，致力于通过舞蹈展现文化之美、激发创造力，并连接人与人之间的情感。团队成立于 2005 年，最初总部位于加利福尼亚州桑尼维尔（Sunnyvale），以传播中国民族舞蹈的艺术魅力为初心，服务当地社区。
随后，创始人 Mary Lima 将 Bayland Dancing 迁至加州埃尔克格罗夫（Elk Grove），开启了全新的发展篇章，并进一步拓展了团队在萨克拉门托地区的文化影响力。Mary 的愿景始终扎根于包容、多元、艺术成长，以及通过舞蹈搭建连接不同文化与世代的桥梁。
2018 年，Mary Lima 不幸离世。同年，她的儿媳 Elaine Zhao（赵心瑞） 接任艺术总监一职，延续 Mary 的初心与愿景，带领团队迈入新的时代。在 Elaine 的领导下，团队正式更名为 Bayland Dance Arts，象征着对艺术专业性、文化表达以及社区影响力的持续追求。
如今，Bayland Dance Arts 为不同水平的舞者提供每周会员制课程，并在北加州各地呈现富有感染力的文化演出。我们一年一度的重磅活动——春节文化艺术节，通过生动而真挚的作品致敬传统、传递喜悦、凝聚人心。我们的演出曾被多家当地媒体报道，并登上 KTSF 26 频道，体现了我们在社区中不断扩大的影响力。

About Bayland Dance Arts
Bayland Dance Arts, formerly known as Bayland Dancing, is a community-centered dance company dedicated to celebrating culture, creativity, and connection through movement. Founded in 2005 and originally headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, Bayland began as a passion-driven effort to share the beauty of Chinese folk dance with the local community.
In the years that followed, our founder Mary Lima relocated Bayland Dancing to Elk Grove, California, where she began a new chapter for the organization—expanding its reach and deepening its role within the Sacramento region’s cultural landscape. Mary’s vision was rooted in inclusivity, artistic growth, and using dance as a bridge between cultures and generations.
Following Mary Lima’s passing in 2018, her daughter-in-law Elaine Zhao (赵心瑞) stepped into the role of Artistic Director, carrying forward Mary’s vision while guiding Bayland into its next era. Under Elaine’s leadership, the organization evolved into Bayland Dance Arts, reflecting a renewed commitment to artistic excellence, cultural expression, and community impact.
Today, Bayland Dance Arts offers weekly, members-only classes for dancers of all levels and brings vibrant cultural performances to audiences across Northern California. Our signature annual event, the Chinese New Year Festival, showcases authentic and joyful works that honor tradition while inspiring connection. Our performances have been featured in local newspapers and on KTSF 26, highlighting our growing presence within the community.
At Bayland Dance Arts, we believe dance is more than movement—it is a living expression of heritage, a shared language across cultures, and a lasting legacy passed from one generation to the next.
